With five acres to explore, the centre is one of the top-rated Forest of Dean attractions and has something for everyone to discover!

​Please Note: Dogs are very welcome in the Heritage Coffee Shop and Gift Shop but only assistance dogs can be taken into the museum and grounds including the Gruffalo Trail.
As an accredited museum, we aim to preserve the Forest of Dean's Heritage with stories and artefacts, create an exciting, interactive centre, and look after precious items for future generations to secure a lasting legacy and safeguard our collection for future benefit.

The Woodland Play Area
Taking inspiration from our stunning surroundings and with sustainability in mind, our Woodland Play Area was upgraded in a big way in 2023. Situated at the end of the Gruffalo Trail, children can enjoy spending time outdoors, making new friends and learning new skills, on the swing, monkey bars, climbing areas, slide and sensory corner.
