Do I need to book in advance?

You do not need to pre-book tickets for entry into the Centre. However, some of our events require pre-booking or buying tickets, for example, Father Christmas visits.

What time does the Centre close?

The Centre closes at different times throughout the year, we advise checking our opening times before visiting, you can find these on our social media or at the bottom of the website.

Is the centre accessible?

We have a number of disabled car parking spaces available in our car park.

The majority of the site is accessible for wheelchair users, prams and individuals using mobility aids, however, we regret that Gallery 4 is not accessible at this time.

There is a disabled toilet in the Museum and in the Coffee Shop.

Be aware, paths around the main site are stony and the woodland paths may become muddy after rain.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are welcome in The Heritage Coffee Shop and our Gift shop. Unfortunately due to insurance purposes we cannot allow dogs on to The Gruffalo Trail, in The Museum or anywhere else on our site. Assistance dogs are permitted.

Can we visit The Heritage Coffee Shop without paying to enter the rest of the Centre?

Absolutely, The Heritage Coffee Shop is onsite, but separate from the Museum and rest of the Centre, come and try out the delicious food and drink on offer!

Can we bring our own food and drink?

Yes, there are picnic benches on site where you can enjoy your own food and drink if you wish, use the bins provided for any rubbish.
How long should I allow for a visit?

This is entirely your choice. However we would suggest you allow a minimum of 2 hours for the best experience.
